“Everybody needs that one place, everybody needs a safe space…
…everybody needs somewhere to be with their family…
Every living being from honey bees to humans, needs a safe place to call home. Dana’s seventh award-winning recording explores the different places animals live… in the sky and sea, in wetlands, underground tunnels and more. Featuring numerous musical genres ranging from rock to reggae, bluegrass to bossa nova, the album is designed to educate and engage young listeners while planting seeds of care for the planet we all call home.
…a place to call home.”
“One of the best of the best albums of 2020 so far…it’s almost impossible to listen and not start singing along.”

“Experience counts… clearly Dana knows what works. Terrific arrangements and clever songwriting… spot-on vocals and production values throughout… makes children aware that they can become difference makers in the global sense.”

“I was inspired to create this album in 2019 during the immigration and refugee crisis at the US/Mexican border. My heart ached for all the people who were simply seeking a safe place to raise their families and live in peace. At the same time, the Amazon Rainforest was burning out of control and climate change was (and still is) threatening human and animal habitats around the world. Like humans, animals need a safe place to call home. I wrote these songs to teach young children about animals and where they live, with a special emphasis on endangered species. My hope is that this album will instill in children love and respect for every living creature and inspire them to protect this precious planet we all share.”

“…this is what our young children really really need right now. Can’t recommend highly enough! My big girl, 6, commented that the only thing that would have been better about this CD was if it were longer!!!”

“(Dana’s) music is very contagious and enthusiastic… makes you want to stand up and dance. I like how the songs pump my adrenaline and some songs… calm me down. The moral… is to help the environment around you, like helping animals when they are in need.”
